There is a ton of detail in this book. A map for every section with put-ins, hazzards, paddling/snorkeling suggestions, landmarks and more for each section. Bill and Mary obviously spent a tremendous amount of time writing this atlas! I bought it for a trip we are taking this April so haven't been able to actually use it yet. I'll try to remember to update my review when we've tested it out. The ONLY con I can see is that the binding is a little off (or maybe not given sufficient room) so sometimes you can't see a point or landmark that's mentioned. Other than that, it looks to be a wonderful, thought-out book. I've read the whole thing and it's made me so much more excited about our trip!
I found it to be a very helpful book both to find short trips and long trips. I also found many things that I would have missed if they had not told me to look. A good all round investment.
The Burnham's bring the same thoughtful approach to their writing as they do to their kayak tours.Time is taken to examine every feature or creature of nature and no tiny cove or mangrove tunnel goes unexplored.
