I appreciate the style layout of the book. This is not my first Ayurvedic book. The layout, organization and illustrations contribute to the easy of what can be a deep and complex subject matter. I recently used many of the recipes to cater a weekend yoga retreat that asked for an Ayurvedic menu. The only fuss I had was some recipes called for Agave as a sweetener. In my opinion, agave is a highly processed food and not aligned with whole foods. I subsituted maple syrup or honey. Otherwise it is a well rounded beautiful resource. I would recommend it also as a nice gift.

It then goes into details about Yoga, followed by positive thinking and meditation.The book wraps up with details on seeing an Ayurvedia practitioner and some home remedies for common ailments.There is a lot to take in here for the Western mind and it would take further study before using this book to simply dive in to a new way of thinking about the body, health and disease functions.Overall - the illustrations make this book approachable and easily digestible.
