This is indeed an excellent book. It is informative, clear, and comprehensive despite being a concise overview. The authors write from an ethical, evidence-based, real-world perspective and acknowledge the complexities and uncertainties of research in and practice of psychopharmacology. The book provides valuable information and guidance although it is not a "handbook." As a clinician with over 30 years experience I have found this book to be a helpful tool for clinical work, teaching trainees, and in consultation with non-psychiatric colleagues and patients.Highly recommended! I hope Drs. Ansari and Osser publish more.

This is truly the best book I have read on the subject. It is not only very clear about the benefits of each medication, but also about their issues.
Great book! Drs. Ansari and Osser are expert clinicians and use their experience to provide a clear and comprehensive overview of psychopharmacology. This book will provide a good, sound basis for any psychiatric trainee, and a helpful and useful refresher for practicing psychiatrists. Highly recommended.
I am not in the medical field so I wasn't sure what to expect when I got this book. But it has been very helpful to me. Even though it has a lot of information packed in a small book, it is easy to read and really gave me a very good 'overview' of the topic

I loved the tables for each medication class. I would have liked to see tables for sedation and weight gain for each medication. I keep this book in my office
