I can't believe I'm writing a good review for this book. After enjoying reading/studying Lammle's ICND1. Lammle's writing style is active, direct to the point; making the book easy to read. Contrast to Odom's ICND1's writing style which is passive, and some topic's explanations are repetitious. Lammle explains a topic in 1 page while Odom takes 2 to 4 pages (average).However, as for ICND2 books comparison (Lammle vs Odom). Odom's ICND2 book is more superior than Lammle's ICND2 book. I bought Odom's book first. Being spoiled with Lammle's writing style, it was hard for me to read the first chapter of Odom's book. I would get frustrated with Odom's repetitious writing style that I would get a mild headache. So, I decided to buy Lammle's book. Lammle's ICND2 book has the same good writing style, however, it has half less pages than Odom's book. I decided to give Odom's book another try. However, this time around, I started reading last 3 chapters of the book. The last chapters was written more active than the first chapter. After reading the last chapters, I got accustomed to Odom's writing style. So, I flipped the book and started reading the first chapter with no problem. Now, while I'm writing this review I'm on chapter 7. Additionally, Odom's book have more topic explanations than Lammle's.
I'm docking this one star for not having been updated with complete SDN material (it wasn't available at time of publication, but that was two years ago), and another for being incomplete elsewhere since there are questions on ICND2 that are not covered by this book. It's also an absolute slog to read through, but that applies to a lot of technical material, so I'm not lowering the rating for that.All that having been said, I passed the exam easily, and this was my primary study material. But I have a lot more experience than a typical CCNA candidate (I'm really only doing this since it's a prereq for CCNP), so make of that what you will. What I would say is that this book and some subnetting practice are probably enough to pass the exam.
I find this book and INCD1 easy to read and love the goals incorporated into each chapter with a final review for each segment. I wish I had gotten this book first. Now off to hopefully pass the exam!
First, I want to say that both this and the ICND1 book do a great job of presenting the material in a concise and coherent way. I have been enjoying both books.The only reason why I am giving this review a one star rating is because Amazon customer services has made it impossible for me to inform them of this issue. I placed the order on this book quite a few months ago, and should have skimmed through it as soon as it arrived in order to ensure that everything was in order. But I guess I wasn't thorough enough and was unaware that an entire chapter was missing until now.Amazon won't allow me to process a return, and I can't even seem to figure out how to navigate their overly complicated customer services page just to simply inform them of the defect.Great book, but Amazon has really left me hanging here and my study schedule has suffered because of it.
Having everything can make it a life-long task to study for the CCNA. When looking to touch up on topics I found myself flipping through dozens of pages and never found what I was looking for. If you’re new to networking AND are the type to take a book a read and remember everting you read, then this book is for you.
This was an outstanding guide for adding to the information presenting in the CCENT book. I bought both together and being able to swap back and forth between the two books based on Foundation Topics is crucial to understanding how the author writes.Even after using Cisco devices for over 4 years, this book explained the topics and ideas that I have not had to learn, but needed to know for the exam. This author writes in a very logical and well thought out manner that may appear as "dry" to some. That being said, there is not nad information in this guide and can be essential to helping anyone pass the ICND 2 exam, as long as they follow along with the diagrams and really apply themselves to the virtual trainers.
Love Odom for getting my Certs! I read his ICND 1 book and passed the exam. I am only 7 chapters in on ICND2 OCG and solidifying all the informatio to pass this test and become CCNA certified. These exams are very tough and i could not pass without these books.
After reading some of these reviews, I got a bit concerned, but the Official Cert Guide (OCG) had gotten me through ICND1 all by itself with no problems. Unfortunately, after using this 200-105 book as the primary source of my study (with about a month's worth of Cisco Learning Network labs thrown in), I did not pass the ICND2 (got 790). As usual, I had studied so much that was not on the test, and there were plenty of tricky questions. The more important point is that there was definitely stuff on the test I had never seen before -- was not covered in the OCG. With the test still very fresh in my mind, I picked up a copy of the Lammle CCNA INCD2 Study Guide, and I clearly saw material covered that was on my test but not covered in the OCG. I went through over 500 of the OCG practice test questions -- spent hours and hours worrying about root bridge STP concepts and had zero of those questions on the test.Bottom line -- this book is not enough by itself. I recommend the Lammle book. It is much, much more concise, and somehow it seems to know better what is important for the test. Hopefully with both of these sources under my belt, I will pass the second time around.Update: Well, I did barely manage to pass the second time around (took test as soon as possible after 1st failure). I spent a week using the Lammle study guide, and it really helped. Unfortunately, there is just too much material on these tests. There were still things on the test not covered by either book. Good luck to you all.

Although Dover has huge historically accurate designs they tend to be a little short on the full color reference books. I love this one for trying to span a number of patterns world-wide. If you want new and different rather than historical you should use Dover linears to help you have an accurate baseline, then get your paints, inks out...put on related music and have fun creating your own originals. Use the university libraries for adittional color references.
Some of the patterns were very well designed. Too heavy on Art Nouveau patterns 19 pages, Too little of ethnic patterns such as Chinese,Persia,Turkey,Hawaii,Uzbekistan all 5 combined-13 pages total. But that is my own preference and I can only speak for myself.

the book is beautiful but there is not many patterns inside, I was expecting more content. I also don't like the paperback quality
This is a fairly useless purchase in terms of my own need for historic cultural patterns. In this book most appear boring, conservative and expected, though there are exceptions in a few instances. Everything hinges on the use one has for looking at patterns. I use established patterns as a base for further development and layering and I am not sure I can do much with, for example, "designs that are not in their original form."If you have a need for cultural patterns look instead at research collections by Owen Jones or Racinet. These collections are not altered from their historical constructions.
We are a graphic design firm always researching patterns for the products we work with. These patterns provided a great collection of inspiration in intriguing colors and pattern combinations. Great for research, recommend all the lines in the series and would purchase more.
Patterns are not all that interesting in terms of design. There are much better books.

Because there are so many different dialects in Arabic I couldn't believe that this system proved so simple for the reader. I especially appreciate it since i had only a month to become conversational in Moroccan Arabic before my trip to Casablanca. This manual in Moroccan dialect is invaluable for anyone taking a trip to Morocco. When i showed this book to my Moroccan friend he was impressed at how simple the author created this for the reader and he also said it was extremely accurate since there aren't that many books out there that are in perfect Moroccan Arabic.
This little text offers lessons called programs that are only one page in length with vocabulary and sample sentences.It's perfect for beginners and also for those who wish to renew their acquaintance with the Moroccan dialect.Thanks!
The book does exactly what it says, makes learning basic Arabic easy and quick. For people who know the language, this may not be the best book for you but if have never spoken the language and you're planning a trip and want to at least be able to communicate with the locals then reading this book a week before the trip and refreshing what you learn on the plane ride would definitely help you once you land.I don't plan on becoming fluent in Arabic but knowing enough to get by while I'm there is all I need. If I mispronounce something I don't really care as long as I'm understood.

Arrived on time. It's a good sized book too.
I love this family tree book. I chose this one because my mom had one exactly like this. So far, this is the most detailed fill-out Genealogy book I have found.This family tree book has a dark green exterior. It has 142 pages. It has room to go back 6 generations on each side of the family and in another section there is room to add siblings of yourself, parents, and grandparents.There is also a lot of space for extra information, such as citizenship records, weddings, where ancestors have lived, homes you have lived in, schools and graduations, military service records, family traditions, and more. At the end of the book, there is also six pages for you to place photographs on.I found that some family history books lean more towards a woman filling these books out (by having “Your Genealogy†and “Your Husband’s Genealogyâ€); however, this book does not do that. It is split into “Wife’s Genealogy†and “Husband’s Genealogy,†and I much prefer this.There is not a lot of room to fill out details about older generations. The fourth generation lines have room for date of birth, place of birth, occupation (for the grandfather) and special interests (for the grandmother). I used the special interests line to write the marriage date of those family members. For the fifth generations, there is no set space to write in birth and death dates. There is an extra line under each name, so I used this for the dates. By the sixth generation, each set of great great great grandparents only get a single line for his/her name.I would say this book focuses primarily on your generation and your parent’s generation. It is more of a record on recent family events than following your history all the way back.
I read the reviews, and I expected more. The book itself is very pretty and sturdy. The fact you start from a husband and wife is ok, if that works for you, but the pages inside, many are redundant and some just seem like saying the same things in different ways. I will use it, but it is not even close to what I was hoping for, even after reading description. Just my thoughts. It has pages for all your addresses where you ..or the husband and wife have lived. Religious organizations. I think this is better suited for a husband and wife just getting married and a book to keep track of life, rather than a book to talk about lives already lived. If than makes sense. For that, I would give a higher rating for that use.
My grandmother gave me one of these exact same books when I was a kid, to keep me busy one day. I was too young to know how to fill it out properly, or even be able to, really. I'm glad I found this again and ordered a new one. Now that I'm a married adult, this has made both keeping record of mine and my husband's families a fun project, and has also opened the door to asking questions of my extended family I never thought to ask before, and I've learned a lot! The format lends itself specifically to a married couple filling it out - it pretty much begins with the information on said married couple, and then you follow the sections to fill it out based on the family of each spouse. So if you're single or only wishing to record one family lineage this may not be the best product for you, you'll have a bunch of pages you won't need to fill out. For me, it's perfect.
This family tree book is really made for a couple who are researching their family history or to pass down to their children. I was looking for a book to record just my family tree.This would be good for a wedding or anniversary gift.
Not as detailed as I had hoped it would be. I have a VERY large family that goes back centuries, so I don't think this will be detailed enough for me. I think I will probably have to hand make one for my family. It's a nice book for someone with an average amount of members.
In this book are several pages that I had not even thought of when getting information together for this book such as military information. It also has several pages in the back of the book for pictures. Overall I like this book. I have a very extensive family tree tracing back past the 500s so it does not have enough room to put all of the generations which I knew it wouldn't going into it. I have 2 15 generation papers that were done for me when I was born and they do not hold it all. It has enough room for about 7 generations in it. If you have more than that I would suggest getting the 15 generation papers folding them up and placing them in the back of the book.
I am thrilled with this! This is the exact same book I had many MANY years ago, given to me by mom. I had it partially filled out but lost it over the course of time. I was planning to re-do a genealogy book for my kids and grandkids and was just hoping to find something similar to what I had before. I was stunned and THRILLED to find the exact one. Thank you!

I’ve never watched or read 50 shades of gray, but I wonder if the Darcy’s intimate relationship takes their cue from that. This Darcy was the “abusive†kind but in the way that Lizzy loves. Interestingly, underneath the role play he's still a gentle and attentive lover and husband.This story (apparently a set of short stories) pretty much includes most sex acts you could potentially think about. Erotic smut it definitely is.I have an open mind and do enjoy these stories, but this is a big no no for those who place the Darcy’s on a pedestal of purity and such. Or this may even be too much for those who may like the sensual love scenes but maybe that’s it. This story is sex from beginning to end.This story experiments with BDSM, orgies, and I think the one that really made me wince was the threesomes with Darcy, Lizzy, and Wickham. Let’s just say Lizzy really “gets filled.†And those types of scenes have always made even me of the open mind uncomfortable. There was also a confusing story in which Lizzy and Darcy switch partners. Um, okay.This story isn’t for everyone for sure. And yet I will probably read the sequel when it’s released. Curious I definitely am.
I will start by saying I only read 50% of the book because it is totally implausible. This book is as far from Jane Austin as you can possibly get. I didn't have a problem with it being one kinky sex scene after another even though they never would have happened between Lizzy and Darcy in Victorian England. I didn't even have a problem with Lizzy and Darcy not resembling the characters from Jane Austen's novel.I DID have a problem when all of a sudden Darcy was friendly with Wickham again. Then when Darcy set up a threesome which included him, Lizzy and WICKHAM I had to stop reading.This book is ludicrous and an insult to Jane Austin's memory. I'm not a prude but I would have to be insane to believe this book represents the future life of Lizzy and Darcy. In no way do the characters in this book even begin to resemble the characters that have been beloved for almost 200 years.An erotic book is fine but DO NOT try to make money off of characters who are some of the best and beloved in literary history with trash that doesn't honestly reflect who they are. You will really turn off readers who love those characters. I'm one of them.I have to ask, did the author even read Pride and Prejudice? I highly doubt it.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I came across this book on some random search, and since it combined smut and P&P, I figured I'd give it a read. I have to say, I enjoyed it way more than I thought I would. Yes, there's a lot of kinky sex, and not a ton of character development, but the scenes make up for that, and is what one generally expects with erotica.The author was *very* courageous to put this out there... The characters of Darcy & Elizabeth are sacred ground in a lot of people's minds, so to have them do what they do in this book, well, it takes a very open mind for the reader. I like to think I have am open minded, and yet there was one chapter I had a hard time with in the middle. But the chapters following didn't include that situation again, so it didn't detract too much from my enjoyment of the book.II look forward to the sequel!

I don not particularly like Mr Darcy in this story - in the beginning he is too commanding and a little of a sadist. I prefer also the Mr Darcy to be the jealous type who won' t be willing to share Elizabeth with anyone (esp not with her arch enemy- just doesn' make sense). If he wanted a threesome he might have asked Mr Bingley or his cousin Fitzwilliam. There was also a gathering that I was confused why Mr Darcy was entertaining someone else and I guess Lizzy was with someone else too and they meet after.I guess I have a little fixation on certain traits of ODC , that's why it was a bit hard to accept some of the scenes/situations in this story.If the characters were probably named different, I might have not been bother by some parts of this book. If you like a very erotic story, then you might like this. If you are like me, erotic stories are okay if it is depicting the tenderness/affection of the characters for each other then you may not like this that much.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was the first time reading this authors work and I really enjoyed it ,cause it was sooo sizzling hot from the start of the book all the way to the very end.I couldn't put it down once I started reading it,it was soooo good.*Spoilers Tag* Shes a virgin and she's getting married to the man she fell in love with,but she's worried about how to please him and herself in the marriage bed later,what to do.Her older sister stops by and gives her some naughty books ,she says will help,but to hide them you don't want the help to see them.When Fitzwilliam takes her later that night 8ts like nothing she ever thought it would be,it was sooo much more.And he has so much to teach her about making love and enjoying it.And he shows her his naughty book collection, plus some other things they can both enjoy to.And on the way she asks him to please help her sister by talking with her husband about how to please her sister in the bedroom to.He don't ,but he asks a friend to do it and it really helps her sister and her husband to really enjoy each other in the bedroom to.And its just soooo sizzling hot so I hope you all enjoy it to.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
